How we run this job
Houses fail on logistics, not muscle. A four-bedroom in Stapleton with a finished basement, a garage full of tools, and a shed out back holds far more than people estimate, and the single most common mistake we see is booking a crew too small to finish before dark. We size the crew to the house, not to the cheapest number we can quote you.
For anything above two bedrooms we recommend a walkthrough — in person or over a video call takes about fifteen minutes. We count rooms, look inside the garage and basement, note the pieces that need two people versus four, and check the driveway approach. That walkthrough is what turns a guess into an estimate you can plan a closing date around.
Move day runs in a fixed order because that order is what keeps a house on schedule. Pads and runners go down first, then the crew clears a staging lane, loads the heavy and rectangular pieces to build a solid wall in the truck, fills the gaps with boxes, and keeps the fragile and the awkward for last where they ride cushioned. Appliances get disconnected and dollied, gas lines are left to your plumber, and we label anything going to a specific room so unloading is not a scavenger hunt.
Colorado adds its own variables. Steep driveways in Golden and Evergreen sometimes need a shuttle because a 26-foot truck cannot make the turn. Afternoon hail in July is a real risk, so summer house moves start early. If your closing slips by a day, tell us as soon as you know — rescheduling costs you nothing as long as we hear before the crew is dispatched.
What it costs
From $159/hr for two movers; three- and four-mover crews quoted by home size. Pads, shrink wrap, dollies, floor runners, and standard disassembly and reassembly are part of the rate. The travel fee is a single flat charge quoted before you book, and nothing is added after the job.
Common questions
Three movers is the usual answer, four if there is a finished basement, a full garage, or a long carry from the door to the truck. Two movers on a three-bedroom almost always ends up costing more, because the extra hours outrun the savings on the hourly rate.
Yes. Washers, dryers, and refrigerators are disconnected, dollied, and secured. Treadmills and multi-station gyms we handle as well, though anything that has to be partially disassembled should be flagged when you book so the crew brings the right tools.
Call us. Rescheduling is free with 48 hours notice and we will do our best on shorter notice, though summer Saturdays fill weeks ahead. If you need a same-week storage gap between closings, we can hold your load on the truck overnight or move it into a vaulted unit.
